Susan Brazas

Attorney at Law

Susan Brazas is an honors graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law. A gifted writer, Susan was a Notes & Comments Editor of her school’s Law Review. She worked her way through law school and was a Research Assistant to nationally renowned criminal law scholar Professor Wayne LaFave, whose work is cited frequently by the U.S. Supreme Court and many state supreme courts.

Prior to law school, Susan worked as an Employee Relations Representative at Honeywell. She also graduated with honors from Bradley University, where she earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in business while working part-time in the university cafeteria and library, and for two semesters full-time at the National Labor Relations Board in Peoria. Susan then studied in Rennes, France for one year as a Rotary Scholar.

Far away from her rural Indiana roots, Susan enjoys fostering relationships with clients from all walks of life, from small rural settings to large cities, from small business owners to corporate executives, from village ordinance violation hearings to complex trials and hearings at the Daley Center in Chicago. The first half of Susan’s career was spent defending physicians, hospitals, motorists, and businesses charged with negligence. This experience has proved invaluable in her broad scope of work over the past ten-plus years, including several unusual and complex negligence cases for Plaintiffs and Defendants.
